Who is behind Sparibéenne?
Bel bonjou!
With roots in Guadeloupe and Martinique, born in Paris, I am a “Caribbean Parisian”: Paris is my home, the Antilles are my roots.
Having always felt a special connection with the world of beauty — the girly girl that I am — it was written that I would become a beauty therapist. I always knew. I find it amazing that we can enhance, even transform, our appearance with cosmetics alone.
Having had oily, acne-prone skin since my teenage years, I discovered my love of facials out of necessity. I still remember it: I slathered myself in Effaclar Duo by La Roche-Posay to chase away spots, I cleansed morning and night with The Body Shop’s tea tree gel, and I hid my scars under layers of Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation. What times! Make-up, skincare, fragrance… since I was 14, I have tested literally everything. Thousands of products have passed through my hands, which makes me a true expert today. When I give you advice, it is relevant: there is a good chance I have already tried the product you are telling me about!
10 years in the trade, from my bathroom to the luxury houses
Today, I still thrive in this world where I have been lucky enough to do it all: from make-up artist to beauty therapist, from trainer to ambassador. In 10 years, I have worked with the greatest French and American houses: Tata Harper & Dior (LVMH) at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, Elizabeth Arden, SkinCeuticals (L’Oréal), Erborian, ByTerry… In short, I have seen it all, lived it all. And above all, I have come full circle. The time has come to spread my wings with a project that is mine from A to Z. Sparibéenne is an extension of who I am: the blend of SPA, CARIBÉENNE (Caribbean) and PARISIENNE (Parisian). It simply had to be.
Creating what I had always missed
I am a true spa aficionada. Nothing makes me happier than lounging in a jacuzzi, feeling a therapist’s hands at work and clearing my mind. But too often, I was left wanting more.
In the end, I grew tired of “almost” perfect experiences, especially as these treatments come at a certain price: why not offer me a delicious drink (and let me choose) on arrival, and on departure? Why not carry out a complete skin diagnosis before touching my face (especially with reactive skin like mine)? Why not ask me which massage pressure I prefer? Why not ask me whether the music suits me, or if I would like to change it, or even turn it off? Why that closed look from the therapist who assumes I will not buy a product at the end, because I have already paid for my treatment, when I am probably her biggest beauty customer? In short, I was so disappointed by these details that I wanted to create my own sanctuary, bringing together every standard I hold for myself.
My motto is simple: treat every client the way I would like to be treated. I love pampering people, I love seeing that little smile when a client discovers the bonus chocolate served with their tea “because, well, why not?”. I am a client first and foremost, and I know that careless service is what stops people from coming back. At Sparibéenne, you are never better served than by… myself, with my sunny touch on top!

The genesis of Sparibéenne
When longing for the péyi becomes obvious
It all began with the wish to bring two heritages into dialogue. On one side, the high standards and refinement of Parisian luxury beauty that I have always worked alongside; on the other, the sensory richness and generosity of the Antilles that I could never leave behind. Sparibéenne embodies this generation of “metropolitans” who carry a vibrant dual culture, Creole and French, and who choose to turn this blend into an art of living.
While Paris offers a thousand invitations to travel — from Morocco to Bali, from Sweden to Japan — one destination was strangely missing from the wellbeing scene: the Caribbean. And yet Guadeloupe and Martinique, where my roots lie, are indeed French islands. Why does the richness of our overseas territories sometimes seem more “hidden” than that of neighbouring cultures? Sparibéenne was created to fill that gap. The ambition is clear: to offer an immediate escape without the constraints of travel. Where a plane ticket and eight hours of flight were once needed, we now offer a sensory journey at the gates of the capital.

Our concept rests on a holistic vision. So what does “holistic” mean? Some will grumble: “another word you hear everywhere!”. Let me reassure you right away: here, we do not use the term to be trendy, but because we live it. After ten years of seeing thousands of clients pass through my hands, it is unthinkable for me to give a treatment “just like that”, without understanding the person in front of me. So we do not only treat the skin; we listen to inner concerns to better release your physical tension. Finally, we fine-tune every ritual so that your return home is the best it can be.
The Sparibéenne ethic: respect above all
Sparibéenne was also born from a clear observation: the wellbeing industry too often sacrifices people on the altar of productivity. Refusing the “petty practices” of the sector — shortened treatments, pushy selling, conveyor-belt massages or lack of flexibility — I founded this house on one central pillar: absolute respect for the client and the therapist. Here, an hour of treatment truly lasts an hour. The clock starts when you are settled on the table, not when you walk through the door. Every gesture is carried by an ethic of kindness and complete transparency. Your serenity is never conditional on a purchase: if you do not want a product today, you will not be “blacklisted”. We handle life’s surprises with flexibility, as long as things are done properly.

How is it different from a beauty salon or a classic spa?
Sparibéenne is neither a beauty salon, nor a hammam, nor a classic spa: it is an immersive wellbeing experience. Every treatment is personalised for you after a true moment of listening, an hour of treatment truly lasts an hour, and your serenity never depends on a purchase.
When does Sparibéenne open?
In early 2027. Join the waiting list: you will be the first to know when bookings open and enjoy −10% on your first treatment, along with priority booking for life.

How do I get there from Paris?
Take a direct train from Paris-Montparnasse to Chartres, about 1 hour. A perfect day trip, with our partner neighbours: the All Suites hotel and its rooftop restaurant Papato, overlooking Chartres cathedral.
Is there parking?
Yes, there are parking spaces all around the spa.
What are your opening hours?
Our opening hours will be announced at the opening, in early 2027.

What is the Rivyè shower?
A multi-sensory horizontal shower: rain, waterfall, warmth and a mist scented with the fragrances of the Caribbean. A hybrid between a shower and a hammam, inspired by tropical rivers, that relaxes the muscles, boosts circulation and prepares the skin to receive your treatment.
Do you offer a skin diagnosis before treatments?
Yes. Every facial or body treatment begins with a complimentary 15 to 20-minute conversation, and you leave with your complimentary beauty report. To go further, the Source Consultation, 45 minutes to 1 hour, at 69€, is an advanced holistic skin diagnosis: we answer all your questions and give you a personalised beauty prescription to follow at home.
What are your prices?
All our prices are presented in Treatments and Les Privilèj.
Is the spa open to men?
Yes. Sparibéenne welcomes women and men alike: everyone is welcome, with respect for our therapists and guests.
Do you welcome English-speaking guests?
Yes. Sandy spent many years caring for an international clientele in leading Parisian luxury houses: your treatments can take place entirely in English.
How do I book?
Bookings open in early 2027, on the official Sparibéenne website and on the Planity app. Waiting list members will be told first and enjoy priority booking for life.
Gift vouchers
Can I offer a treatment as a gift?
With pleasure. Our digital gift vouchers will be available on our website from the opening, in early 2027. Our printed gift vouchers, to hand over in person, will await you at the spa from the opening or, at the latest, for the 2027 festive season.
